Pedestrian Safety

As porous and all-weatherproof as our paving blocks are, in times of heavy rainfall, extra drainage is needed especially on uneven surfaces. Waterways, as a means to channel excess water run-off, are strategically placed in sections of paving to avoid pooling and puddling. Our Waterway-400 blocks complemented with steel grids for safety collect the run-off from paving blocks channelling the water away from high-pedestrian traffic areas.
Building foundations get their fair share of damage due to a lack of drainage. Our pre-cast Waterway-300, placed under downpipes, help to funnel water away from surface materials and foundations.
Road Traffic Users
The urban population has grown exponentially, and infrastructure has had to keep up with the demand. More roads are being constructed but without much-needed stormwater drainage systems. This adversely affects road traffic users during heavy rains as there is no adequate run-off to provide a degree of safety. Asphalt and concrete road surfaces are being replaced with paving blocks as they absorb more water than any other surface materials.
